Are you dog CPR certified?
Yes. Good Dog staff is certified in pet CPR and first aid through Pro Pet Hero.
What if my dog has a medical issues or special needs?
We handle it. Medications, special care, or the occasional wiped bottom. Whatever your dog needs, we are here for it. Just let us know at the meet and greet and we will make sure everything is taken care of.
How do I get started?
Call us! Send us an email! Send us a text! Whatever is easiest for you. We will set up a free meet and greet, get acquainted with your dog, and make sure Good Dog is the right fit. If all goes well, your dog is officially part of the pack.
What does it cost? ****
Adventures are $55 per outing. That includes pickup, the full adventure, highest quality treats, a paw wash and wipe down, and dropoff back to your door.
What if the weather is bad?
We still go. Weather may change our destination, but it will not cancel the adventure. That is what Dad's backyard cabana, Grandma's covered patio, and the barn on the farm are for.
Do you take all breeds?
Yes. Breed is not the deciding factor. Temperament is. Any dog that is friendly, reasonably well behaved, and plays well with others is welcome at Good Dog. We assess every dog at the meet and greet to make sure they are a good fit for the group.
What if my dog doesn't get along with other dogs?
Sadly, Good Dog might not be the right fit. However, if you love what we do, please reach out. We may be able to arrange a one on one adventure or pair them with a very small, carefully selected group. Every situation is worth a conversation.
Does my dog need to be spayed or neutered?
Nonspayed female dogs can absolutely be a good fit for Good Dog. We just ask that you communicate with us at the first sign of heat, as she’ll need to sit out of group adventures during that time. We may be able to make special arrangements, such as a one-on-one adventure. Every situation is worth a conversation.
For males, it depends on temperament and we assess this at the meet and greet. An intact male who is calm and well mannered may be just fine.
How long is a typical adventure?
Adventures typically run between 4.5 to 6 hours from pickup to drop off. Exact timing varies depending on the day's adventure and your location. A little flexibility is really always appreciated.

Good Dog services Salt Lake County. Hopefully, Utah and Summit county in the future.
Do dogs wear GPS collars?
Yes. Every dog wears a GPS tag on all adventures. Your dog is always accounted for. We are working on a exciting GPS/ video system to let you see in time adventures.
What kind of treats do you use?
Homemade, sometimes homegrown, organic, and simple ingredients. Every treat is made with dog safe ingredients and a lot of love.
What if my dog has food allergies?
Please let us know at the meet and greet. We will make sure your dog gets treats that are safe for them.
How do I pay?
We accept Venmo or via our website payment portal. We ask for payment to be due at the time of enrollment in an adventure.
What is your cancellation policy?
We get it, life happens. Cancel at least 24 hours in advance for a full refund. Cancellations within 24 hours are non-refundable.
Will my dog be bathed?
Every dog gets a full paw wash and wipe down before being returned home. All of our products are organic, natural, and dog safe. We also offer a light spritz of our calming dog perfume for the pups who like to arrive home smelling their best.
Can I see where my dog went that day?
Yes. Every dog comes home with a report card detailing where the pack adventured and how your dog did on it. We are working on a exciting GPS/ video system to let you see in time adventures.
Do you send updates or photos during the adventure?
Yes. If you would like updates and photos throughout the day, we will ask at the meet and greet and send them via text throughout the day.
What should my dog wear?
A harness is our preference, but we know every dog is different. If your dog behaves better in a collar, go with what works best for your dog. You know them better than anyone. Please attach a tag with dog's name and your current phone number. In emergencies, collars and harnesses may need to be cut off. So, we ask that whatever style you choose just no chain types.
Can I request a specific adventure or location?
Absolutely, requests are welcome. Ultimately the day's adventure is chosen based on what is best for the pack and the weather, but we love knowing your preferences.
What happens if my dog gets injured?
You will be notified immediately. Depending on the situation, we will bring your dog home or meet you directly at the vet. Your dog's safety is always the first priority.
How do you handle emergencies?
You are our first call, followed by your emergency contact. Depending on the situation, your dog will be brought home immediately or taken directly to an emergency vet. We are trained in pet CPR and first aid and we do not take emergencies lightly.
Do you take puppies?
We love puppies. However, they must be at least 4 to 6 months old and fully up to date on vaccines before joining the pack. When in doubt, check with your vet first.
Do you take senior dogs?
Absolutely. Senior dogs are some of our favorite adventurers. When long distances are not ideal, we make sure they join us somewhere they can relax and enjoy the outing at their own pace: Grandma's splash pad, Dad's backyard, or a quiet spot on the farm. Every dog deserves a good day, regardless of age.
What about hot weather days?
On hot days, your dog's comfort is the priority. We make sure the pack stays hydrated, sticks close to shade options, and water features, and on especially warm days we are known to spend extra time at Grandma's splash pad. We always bring plenty of water and we always pay attention to any signs of heat exhaustion.
How often can my dog come?
As often as you would like. We run adventures Monday through Friday, so your dog is welcome to join us every single day if that works best for your dog.
What if my dog escapes or runs off?
Every dog wears a GPS tag on every adventure and is watched very carefully. That said, if your dog is a known escape artist or can scale an 8 foot fence, please let us know at the meet and greet so we can take extra precautions.
Can siblings or dogs that know each other be in the same group?
Absolutely. The more familiar faces the better.
Is Good Dog insured?
Yes. Good Dog is insured through Star Insurance for your peace of mind.
What if my dog isn't good off leash?
Not a problem. We offer both on-leash and fully fenced adventures. For off-leash adventures, we can accommodate dogs on a long leash so they can join.
What is the pickup and dropoff window?
We run one adventure per weekday. Pickups happen between 7:30 and 9:00am with dropoffs around midday. Exact times vary depending on the day's route and your location. A little flexibility goes a long way and we always really appreciate it.
How many dogs are in a group?
Anywhere from 1 to 10. Every adventure is shaped by which dogs are joining and what activity we are doing that day. I have trusted assistants, if needed, join us to make sure every outing stays safe, supervised, and well managed.
What vaccinations does my dog need?
All dogs must be current on Rabies, DHPP, and Bordetella. We also strongly recommend Leptospirosis for any dog spending time on trails and near water. Proof of vaccinations is required before joining the pack.
Will my dog be around other animals on the ranches or farms?
Possibly from a distance. Dogs may see farm animals through a fence during farm and ranch visits but there is never direct contact. It is actually a wonderful enrichment experience for most dogs.
Do you need to be there for pickup and drop off?
No, you do not need to be home when we pickup or drop off. We can discuss what works for you during our meet and greet. However, we do think it is best for you to be there for pickup and drop off the first couple times.
